KOSMONAUT PLANEMO
Kosmonaut Planemo was a long-form digital blog project I, Angelina Elander, maintained from 2003 until its public closure in 2019. It developed alongside the early and rapidly evolving blog era, beginning as an open, personal space and gradually becoming a more layered form of online expression where writing, reflection, and identity intersected over time.
Its reception has largely been shaped retrospectively rather than contemporaneously. Rather than being situated within a clearly defined cultural or literary discourse at the time of its publication, it has often been interpreted through broader discussions about early internet culture, digital identity, and the shifting nature of online self-representation. As such, its meaning has tended to emerge in hindsight, refracted through changing media contexts rather than fixed critical framing.
Viewed as a whole, Kosmonaut Planemo can be understood as a long-duration experiment in sustained digital presence—one that reflects not only a personal trajectory but also the transformation of the internet itself from open, fragmented expression toward increasingly structured and platform-mediated communication. Its closure in 2019 marks the end of that evolving dialogue between author, medium, and public perception.
Kosmonaut Planemo is now the name of my record label.
