Happy Easter!
How are you all doing out there? Is it the third wave, the British mutation or which version are we sticking to now? They say it's worse than ever now in the news, but people on the streets are acting like they really don't care anymore. Is it because of mistrust of the media, government, science, statistics or simply cold hearted lack of empathy? Maybe a bit of oblivion and lacking ability to maintain focus and stick to an agenda for a longer period of time, difficulties in changing habitual behaviors and perhaps impulsivity plays a role too? Maybe humans aren't as adaptable and customizable as we think. Too many rules and restrictions placed on our behavior inevitably results in rebellion. Which we have seen all over the world. In Stockholm thousands of people gathered to protest against Corona. We knew this would come right from the start. How much have we already altered the human behavior not permanently, but in a longer perspective? Will the sanitizer stations in all public places remain? The muzzles too? The visors are having a hard time becoming accepted, so perhaps not them, maybe if they 'technify' them so we don't need the phones anymore. But muzzles and visor together seems like too much, so probably they will be converged in a full blown digitally enhanced helmet. The air will soon be too polluted to breathe anyway, don't you think? The distance keeping is a piece of cake for us Swedes, we like our personal space anyway, so that is no major change, except for the limited number of people allowed to visit a location at the same time. So all group activities will be conducted via Zoom in the future. Shaking hands will probably not come back either, as it was in issue even before Corona. There was a debate regarding different cultures view on handshaking. I don't really see how we could ever go back to how things were before. But that is life. Things change, people change, the world changes.
Back to egg painting then. :)
