I'm still on an art break.  I might go back to the damp and cold halls of academia later, if they beg me with a fat paycheck.  Haven't written off research entirely just yet, but really enjoying being freely creative. Not going to comment in any specific sense on American domestic politics, but the assassination attempt on Trump gives rise to many questions. They had the shooter in sight for 3 minutes before they took him out. He had plenty of time to take his best shot, and still missed. Speculations goes wild on YouTube, where they insinuate that just like in the JFK case, there were several shooters and they mean it was a planned event from organizations in power ( those with well known abbreviations ) who wanted Trump gone, or possibly orchestrated by team Trump to deify Trump as the savior of America and possibly the world. None of my business anyway. They can deify whatever they want over there.
